Description

The Showtec Phantom 280 Hybrid is a versatile IP65-rated moving head designed to deliver beam, spot and wash effects from a single fixture. Powered by a 280 W LED source producing up to 14,800 lumens, it is suitable for demanding indoor and temporary outdoor applications including live events, festivals, touring productions, theatres and installations. Its wide motorised zoom system allows the fixture to move from an extremely tight 2.5° beam through to a broad 37.4° beam angle, with a maximum field angle of 39.9°.

A comprehensive effects system gives lighting designers extensive creative flexibility. CMY colour mixing is combined with a dichroic colour wheel offering 12 colours plus open, while two gobo wheels provide 9 gobos plus open and 7 gobos plus open for varied projection effects. An 8-facet circular prism and 6-facet linear prism can be used to multiply and spread the beam, while motorised focus and an integrated frost filter make it easy to move between sharp beam and gobo effects and softer wash-style looks.

Control is available via DMX, RDM, manual operation and built-in programs, with support for optional CRMX Classic and W-DMX wireless control. The Phantom 280 Hybrid offers 21 or 25-channel DMX modes, linear and square dimmer curves, 0-20 Hz strobe and precise movement control. A battery-powered LCD display allows configuration without mains power, while its carbon fibre reinforced plastic housing, IP65 protection, forced convection cooling, Power Pro True connections and supplied Quick-Lock bracket make it well suited to professional touring and production environments.
