Darüber hinaus ist in mehreren Ländern ein zusätzlicher Notschalter vorgeschrieben. Dieser Notschalter wird zwischen der Steckdose und der Laserstromversorgung eingefügt, um den Laser im Falle einer Störung ausschalten zu können.
