The Audix f9 is a professional pre-polarised condenser microphone designed for capturing acoustic detail with clarity and precision across a wide range of applications. Ideal for cymbals, drum overheads, hi-hats, percussion, and acoustic instruments, the f9 delivers a clean, accurate response, especially in the upper frequencies. Featuring a gold vapour-deposited diaphragm and a consistent cardioid polar pattern, it isolates the intended sound source while minimising ambient bleed from surrounding instruments. The f9's 16 mm capsule, housed in a precision-cast zinc alloy body with a durable black E-coat finish, ensures reliability in both stage and studio environments. With a wide frequency response of 40 Hz to 20 kHz, high SPL capability (≥137 dB), and a dynamic range of 112 dB, this lightweight microphone offers excellent performance for ambient room miking and detailed instrument capture. It operates on 12–48 V phantom power and includes a microphone clip and bag.
