DBX PRO 640m Digital Zone Processor

Description

The ZonePRO 640m offers fixed I/O, a pre-configured architecture, configurable insert processing, and optional duplication of audio channels to another ZonePRO device via a link bus.

The 640m features a total of six inputs and four outputs. Inputs consist of four balanced mic/line switchable terminal block inputs and two mono-summed pairs of unbalanced RCA inputs. Hardware-controlled microphone gain allows individual gain adjustment per channel.

The device uses a pre-configured architecture that includes input processing, a central matrix, and output processing. Two configurable input insert positions and one configurable output insert position allow channel-specific insert processing. AutoWarmth®, a psychoacoustic function that preserves full frequency bandwidth even at low signal levels, is permanently available on each output zone.

A link bus enables duplication of the first six audio channels to another ZonePRO device when additional output zones are required.

The front panel features comprehensive signal metering, an informative LCD display, and user-defined front panel controls.

Additional system control is available through optional Zone Controllers, which provide simple and elegant wall-mounted interfaces for functions such as volume, source selection, and preset control.

All ZonePRO devices support control by third-party systems via RS-232 or Ethernet, depending on the model.

ZonePRO Designer, the configuration, control, and monitoring software for the ZonePRO family, allows control of the ZonePRO 640m via Ethernet or RS-232. Its Configuration Wizard guides users through a step-by-step setup process.
