Palmer-Leitungsteiler werden verwendet, wenn eine Signalquelle an mehrere Eingänge gesendet werden muss. Zum Beispiel, wenn ein Mischpultausgang mehrere Leistungsverstärker in verschiedenen Räumen mit Signalen versorgen soll. Durch den Einsatz großzügig dimensionierter Tonfrequenztransformatoren wird der Klang nicht beeinflusst, Brummschleifen jedoch verhindert. Mit dem PLS02 können auch unsymmetrische Signale in symmetrische Signale umgewandelt werden und umgekehrt.
