The JBL 308P MkIII is an 8-inch powered studio monitor suited to larger production spaces and critical mixing. Its redesigned 8-inch woofer reaches down to 41Hz (-10dB), helping you monitor low-frequency detail without losing control. A soft-dome tweeter and Image Control Waveguide provide clear high-frequency detail alongside wide 120° x 90° coverage, giving you a consistent listening area for judging stereo placement.

Also, four onboard DSP controls provide 81 room-tuning combinations, so you can adapt the monitor for desktop, stand, or wall placement and adjust its high- and low-frequency response. There’s plenty of headroom, too with separate 55W Class-D amplifiers which power the LF and HF drivers, producing up to 113dB peak SPL for demanding music, cinematic content, and other high-energy production work.

The 308P MkIII combines an 8-inch low-frequency driver with a 25mm soft-dome tweeter, giving you a frequency response of 49Hz to 27kHz and an extended frequency range of 41Hz to 40kHz. The redesigned woofer is built for higher output with lower distortion, while the double-flared Slipstream port helps reduce unwanted turbulence as bass levels increase. This controlled low-frequency performance makes it easier to hear what is happening further down your mix, whether you’re balancing bass-heavy music, working on cinematic material, or making detailed production decisions in a larger studio.

Make confident stereo decisions
JBL's Image Control Waveguide gives the 308P MkIII a wide 120° x 90° coverage pattern. This helps maintain a consistent tonal balance across a broader listening area, rather than limiting accurate monitoring to one tightly defined position. Combined with the soft-dome high-frequency driver, the waveguide helps you hear ambience, spatial information, and transient detail clearly. That makes it easier to judge panning, stereo placement, and finer details while mixing. High-frequency extension reaches 40kHz at the limits of the monitor's specified range, while the 1960Hz crossover manages the transition between its LF and HF drivers.

The 308P MkIII gives you four onboard DSP controls for adapting its response to your setup. A balanced Neutrik combo input accommodates professional analogue connections, while selectable input sensitivity supports integration with different studio equipment. The 308P MkIII also accepts 100-240VAC power, and its 15mm MDF enclosure provides a substantial cabinet for the 8-inch driver and ported acoustic design.
